Glasgow Celtic's star winger Shunsuke Nakamura is on the verge of signing for Saudi giants Al Nasr, according to IMScouting’s sources in the kingdom.
Nakamura, whose contract with the Scottish giants expires this summer, wanted to return home to the team in which he started his career, Yokohama Marinos. But it seems the Japanese club would struggle to meet Nakamura's wage demands and the negotiations between the two sides have come to a halt.
Al Nasr, who expressed its will to sign the Japanese international a couple of weeks ago, offered him a mega one-year deal worth £1.5million tax-free.
Apparently Nakamura refused the initial offer, but after enduring problems in his negotiations with Yokohama, he is now willing to sign for the Saudi club and a deal might be closed in the coming days.
Nakamura has been at Celtic since 2005
